ParkinSense × STED

From unclear requirements to a credible clinical conversation.

ParkinSense is a digital health platform in development to support Parkinson’s disease assessment and monitoring.

Its founder, Adam Lockhart, knew compliance was going to matter. What it would actually involve was less clear.

“I knew compliance would be important, but I did not fully understand what documents were needed, why they mattered, or how they would support future adoption.”

ParkinSense started using STED to build the regulatory and compliance documentation a MedTech product needs in order to be implemented safely and credibly.

“The platform helped turn a confusing process into something structured, clear and manageable.”

The turning point came in a meeting with a senior leader in digital healthcare, discussing the requirements ParkinSense would need to meet for adoption into clinical services.

“As they began listing the documents, policies and evidence we would need in place, I realised I had been reviewing drafted versions of those exact documents on STED just an hour before the call.”

That one fact changed what kind of meeting it was.

“Being able to say that we were already working through those requirements immediately changed the level of the conversation. It allowed us to speak more confidently and practically about implementation, rather than just presenting ParkinSense as an early-stage idea.”

For a platform still in development, that is the difference between being heard as an idea and being heard as something a clinical service could actually adopt.

“For an early-stage MedTech founder, STED has been incredibly valuable in helping us understand what good compliance looks like, prepare for serious healthcare conversations, and get to grips with what is a complicated but very important part of the journey to adoption.”
